Wednesday 1 February 2012

My day of EXTREME couponing .... I always love when I save money however in 2012 I am taking it a little to the extremes. I am couponing for a adult family of 4 plus, my mum's daycare and our budget this year is $300 per month but we still want to eat well (so no starving here). Since we normally spend $350-$400 per month, I want to take that number and throw it away since it's not much savings and a bonus is that ANY money I save I get to keep .... this starts today (on target at the moment).

By the way, I am a student and so is my brother so we don't pay rent or food costs but we do try to contribute as much as possible and we do pay our own bills including the university fees. Just incase you all thought I lived in my mum's basement and pawned off her (no way that'd ever happen here) :)

Anyway, for February I've stocked up on items, which we needed anyway, so that's a bonus.

Now I'm sure you can't believe my shopping trip but this all real. I should have taken a picture for all to see but I'm sure you can picture it. Next time, I will load pictures of my big and small hauls.

Back to my evening of researching and conducting an experiment ..... want to have it done for Saturday morning as it's my birthday on Monday and it's due on Wednesday.

  • 'Keep Calm and Carry on.'
  • 'Keep your eye on the goal.' - My mum

These are the quotes that have got me to my second year of University, as a Psycholgy student. And I am sure I will need a few more to help me along the way.

I am currently doing 1 module - Psychology and will be starting my next module - Child Development on Saturday. The Psychology module is finished in June (exam time) and after my exam I start my residential school, which is until October but no exam :) However, I through all this I still have my Child Development course, which finishes in October (more exam time) :(  But from November, I will be off until February 2013.

These courses are really intense and expect you to remember a lot of terms. However, I am really surprised that I have remembered about 75% of them cause I always think I never remember anything, especially since I am working full time with screaming kids from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. They are great fun but its hard to think Psychology after work.

This week I am asked to design, conduct and report an experiment. I have written a report before which is not too hard but all terms that I need to include in the experiment is a bit more daunting. Lucky for me, I have an Oxford Psychology dictionary.
